The taste of Cherokee pride provides me with grit when tasked with responsibilities. These moments structured my time management skills, study strategies, and critical thinking. I really appreciate the hardworking teachers and informative counselors who gave me advice for my future.”

Community Service: Within the nonprofit organization Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School, I taught various levels of Math and Science to elementary to middle school kids. I also spent time assisting teachers in Art and Chinese classes. I helped mentor Gifted & Talented students at DeMasi Middle School in enrichment courses such as Marine Biology. For athletics, I participated in the Sports Unity program, where all students can express their enjoyment of sports. I helped facilitate annual 5k races run by the Asian American Alliance in South Jersey. For the environment, my FBLA advisor and I organized local park cleanups for picking up trash. 

Post-Secondary Education: Rutgers University

Major: Mechanical Engineering

Career Aspirations: My aspirations are based on innovation and problem-solving but with a mix of entrepreneurship. I aim to work in fields that contribute to sustainability, which allows me to tackle real-world problems with an ethical mindset. I want to utilize design experience and STEM principles to develop environmentally impactful products. Paired with marketability and manufacturability, I want to make changes in both the consumer and commercial worlds.
